Im a city girl who fell in love with a country boy. We got married and are now raising our beautiful family on a farm in Ottawa, Ont. I have been a yoga teacher since 2015 and I have been a student of the practice for much longer than that. I love to eat great food, listen to awesome music, and drink wine with my girlfriends!

The Pure Method:
Advanced Sequencing for Teachers

With
Brittany Bryden, Amber Straton, and Peter Lavictoire

Teachers, stop winging your classes! It happens to the best of us. Lets face it, we are in a creatively demanding job and some days, well, you just don’t feel inspired. Do you want to learn how to develop purposeful, and effective yoga classes? This training will arm you with the knowledge, inspiration, and technique you need to generate fresh, safe sequences that represent your voice and vision as a teacher. It will give you the tools to offer your students a complete experience. Leaving your students feeling fulfilled, and giving you, the teacher the tools to stay inspired and be prepared.

~Learn to theme your classes on an anatomical and philosophical level, and how to weave the two together
~Give your students a complete experience that will have them leaving class fulfilled on every level
~Learn ways to creatively use props in your classes
~Walk into every class with a clear idea of how things are going to unfold.
~Learn how to incorporate safe, yet creative transitions.
~Incorporate music with more purpose and intent
~Truly bring the tool of actually “teaching” your students about their bodies, help them to practice safer and smarter
~Learn how to weave in different elements of the practice so each student can leave with something that resonates with them.

Retreats

There are no retreats planned with me at the moment but, if you sign up to my mailing list you will get first dibs at a spot!

“The first class I ever went to was on labour day a few years ago. Centretown was the only location open that day, so it was jam-packed with people. Brittany taught the class and used a microphone because it was so full. Somehow that made it all the more powerful. Overall it was just such a magnificent experience, the music was great, the class was great, and I felt amazing the whole way through. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to yoga. .”

“Walking into a class with Brittany you can expect three things. First, a unique flow that makes you feel strong, healthy, and happy. Second, a safe space that makes you feel mentally empowered and energized. And last, a yoga instructor who is so much more than just that; an individual who emulates the mantra she always shares at the end of class "always be humble and kind."” Andaleeb Shariff

I spent most of my young adult life as a professional dancer. I was fortunate enough that it took me to some incredible places like New York City and Australia but, along the way I sustained some serious injuries that forced me to reconsider my direction . One day my mom dragged me out to a yoga class, and from that moment on I have been following my path on my mat.

Core values

I am forever and always a student. The moment that I feel like i "know it all" is the moment I will be failing my students. My goal is to  always be pursing the "why" and continue to ask as many questions as I can.

I want to be a teacher in its truest forms and lead by example so that i can help future teachers find their paths as well.
